The Theory Archive

An ever-growing archive of case files on how Honkai: Star Rail's universe refuses to die — a god's scattered corpse, a god who became the ending, a mascot who might be a missing goddess, and whatever the next Version reveals.

One Question, Many Answers

Honkai: Star Rail tells you a universe is ending. Terminus, the Aeon of Finality, walks backward through time toward a prophecy of four apocalypses. Stellarons — the so-called Cancer of All Worlds — sprout on world after world. Nanook burns civilizations. And Akivili, the god who built the rails everyone travels on, died in a single unexplained word: "accident."

Officially, these are separate tragedies. This archive proceeds from a different conviction: they are one story with the ending redacted. Each case file takes the loose threads canon leaves dangling — a death nobody explains, a gem nobody can destroy, a god of unity planting calamities, a god of balance refusing to act — and weaves them into a single hidden narrative about a cosmos fighting its own finale.

The Archive's Working Premise

The universe's end is not approaching. It is being delayed — by gods breaking their own rules, by a corpse sealed inside living worlds, and by a Destruction that exists to keep every Path too busy rebuilding to ever arrive at the last station.

Stellaron Theory · Harmony × Finality

The Divine Cadaver

Version 3.8 revealed that Xipe the Harmony spreads the Stellarons. But why would the god of unity sow calamities? This theory argues the gems are not Xipe's creation at all — they are fragments of Terminus' shattered body, harvested and sealed inside living worlds to delay the prophecy. Along the way it rereads the Trailblazer as a resurrection rather than a bomb, and Nous' single word — "Akivili" — as no error at all.

Akivili–Terminus Theory · Trailblaze × Destruction

The Merciful Apocalypse

Akivili visited the doomed world of Adlivun, watched the Swarm slaughter its people, and could not fight back — an Aeon cannot act against their own Path. This theory argues the god of Trailblaze chose death over helplessness, rose again as Terminus the Finality, and shaped one final gift: Nanook, a Destruction whose endless burning keeps the universe permanently unfinished — and therefore alive.

Idrila Theory · Beauty × Trailblaze

The Cutest Aeon

Idrila, the Aeon of Beauty, vanished without a body — and Pom-Pom appeared on the Express from nowhere right around the same era of history. This theory argues they are one and the same: a goddess who saw something more beautiful than herself in mortals blazing their own trail, and disguised herself as the cutest conductor imaginable to experience it firsthand.

Shared Threads Across the Files

No file in this archive stands alone. Read together, they describe different organs of the same body — a universe performing its own rescue. Four ideas recur in every case:

Thread I

Paths Are Cages

An Aeon cannot act against their own Path. Every tragedy in this archive begins with a god trapped by the very idea that made them divine — and ends with a god finding a loophole.

Thread II

Terminus Is the Center

The backward-walking god anchors everything: THEIR shattered corpus becomes the Stellarons, and THEIR grief becomes Nanook. Finality is not the villain of this story. It is the protagonist wearing a villain's mask.

Thread III

Destruction as Life Support

Burning and rebuilding is a stalling tactic. As long as every blow is answered by Qlipoth's fortifications and Xipe's repairs, the prophecy never reaches its final line.

Thread IV

The Delay Has a Cost

Worlds pay for the holding action. The archive does not pretend the plan is kind — only that, in a cosmos with a scheduled ending, cruelty may be the last mercy available.

"Every theory here is the same confession,
witnessed from a different station on the line."
